Loughborough has an outstanding track record in supporting it’s student athletes and the Swim Programmed has a strong tradition of excellence which stretches back many years….we are well versed in the business of helping people maximize their potential both in, and out, of the pool.

With a team of experienced, professional coaches and a proven system of sports science, academic and lifestyle support that encompasses all our Performance Groups, we are second to none. For many years we have been at the hub of swimming in Great Britain and over time have forged links with the governing body; firstly incorporating a National Performance Centre and now an ITC. However, whilst many try to accommodate change and emulate our programme, for us it’s business as usual, with a seamless and unified team approach.
Our holisitic approach means we want the athletes to be happy in and out of the pool….it’s the key to peak performance. Of course swimmers must chose where they feel most comfortable and where they think they can achieve their goals. Loughborough isn’t the only answer, or the perfect answer for everyone…but…we feel we are a very serious player.
Here’s a comment from someone who made a different choice: “I chose X over Loughborough because I was offered a great package. However, after two semesters I realised what I was offered wasn’t what I was going to get…..there was no team atmosphere and it isn’t a good university. I have experienced Loughborough, the swim programme, the atmosphere and realise nothing can beat it “
