Over the weekend of the 5-7th Decmeber, Loughborough Graduate James Gibson, swimming for Marseille, took part in the French Short Course Championships in Angers.
This exceptionally fast meet that produced three World Records over the three days of competition allowed James to finalise his preparations for the European SC this week. In both of his events he made a welcome return to form; storming to victory in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 27.04 and taking silver in the 100m breastroke in a time of 58.19.
In addition to James, University graduate Liz Longhill also now swimming with Marseille produced some fine performances after over coming a longstanding shoulder injury to record times of 26.22 50m free & 1:02.63 100m back.
