Day 1 Finals

The first finals session proved world class tonight at the European SC Championships. The night started and finished with World Record swims in the men's 50 free & men's 4 x 50 medley relay.
Elizabeth Simmonds started the night off for Loughborough with another impressive performance in the 100m back recording a time of 57.99 just off her British Record time from this morning, going through to the final tomorrow night in fifth place.
James Gibson(left) produced another world class time of 58.29 to go through in second place for tomorrow evenings 100m breast final.
Mel Nocher and Matthew Bowe produced quality performances with Mel going 1:00.45 in the 100m back and Matt going 52.06. They will both shift their focus to other events in the coming days.
Day two brings more swimmers so keep watching the news and results
