The final night at the European SC bought even more success in the pool for Loughborough Swimmers. Elizabeth Simmonds(Right) and Melanie Nocher(Below left) had both achieved qualification for the 200m back final. In a very strong field Elizabeth pushed the eventual winner Alexandra Putra all of the way, eventually finishing in a Bronze medal place. Melanie had qualified for her first ever European final in a new Irish Record of 2:06.08 and went onto improve this finishing in 5th place; setting another new Irish Record time of 2:05.62. Over the whole 4 days of competition Loughborough swimmers have collected two Bronze medals and set 7 British and 5 Irish Records. Great swimming!!!
