Loughborough Swimmers Joe Canlan Shaw, Tom Laxton & Melanie Nocher secured podium finishes on the opening day of the Celtic Tri Nations swim meet held in Swansea.
Canlan Shaw and Laxton, representing Wales, took Bronze and Silver respectively. Canlan Shaw clinched third in a nail biting 50m backstroke finish where 0.1 covered the first three swimmers; whilst Laxton took silver as part of the 4 x 100 free relay.
Melanie Nocher, representing Ireland, produced a impressive 2:01.6 split in the women's 4 x 200 free relay to help the team to a Silver medal placing.
