The World trials last week in Sheffield proved to be outstanding for Loughborough swimmers. Joanne Jackson (pictured) re wrote the record books in the women's 400m & 200m freestyle with a World Record and Commonwealth Record respectively. David Davies, Liam Tancock, Fran Halsall all broke British records in the 400m freestyle, 100m backstroke & 50m freestyle respectively. In addition to these records Loughborough swimmers won 9 Gold, 3 Silver & 3 Bronze medals. Swimmers from all four Performance Squads (ITC & University placed on the podium during the five day meet)
