Loughborough University's Kate Weaver won the "Advanced Apprentice of the Year Award for Swimming" and was presented with her trophy at a prestigious graduation ceremony held at the Nottingham Belfry. Ninety four top athletes from the world of aquatics, including double Olympic Gold medallist Rebecca Adlington, graduated from the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE)
Kate, a newcomer to the Loughborough Team and a Sports Science undergraduate, recently competed at the World Trials in Sheffield where she swam to a lifetime best to finsh 10th in the 50m freestyle.
