Loughborough swimmers Luke Bridgman and James Lovatt are both competing at the Derventio eXcel Open Meet this weekend. Bridgman who is on a year out working in industry as part of his industrial design degree course is competing for his home club Cheltenham; he did the freestyle double winning the 400m free in 4:04.94 and the 200m free in 1:54.98. Lovatt also competing for his home club of Swadlincote came second to Bridgman in the 200m free in 1:56.28 and went on to win the 50m fly in 25.74.
Scott Hathaway is also in action this weekend competing in an International Open Meet in Greece as part of the England Talent Team.
Andrew Donaldson is also in action on the last day of the Scottish Age Group Championships from Edinburgh. He is through to the final of the 100m free later today.
