It was announced yesterday that Irish Olympian and Loughborough swimmer Melanie Nocher(pictured) has been selected by Swim Ireland to compete at this summers World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia and the World Championships in Rome.
In addition to Mel, Loughborough graduate Donal O'Neill has also been selected to compete at the World Championships. Donal, a successful investment banker, came out of a four year retirement last September and went on to set new Irish records at the European short course in December.
