Loughborough University and the Japanese Olympic Committee are set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding later today that will see both parties working together ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Vice Chancellor, Professor Shirley Pearce, said " This is the beginning of a significant partnership which is wide ranging and which will benefit the University's academic programmes, in addition to the obvious cultural benefits. It will also see Japanese squads using our facilities for the next three years, as well as the Japan team basing themselves on campus in the weeks directly leading up to the Games." We look forward to showing them a warm Loughborough Welcome! |
