Loughborough swimmers once again charged into the finals on Day 2 of the Barcelona Mare Nostrum.

Joanne Jackson, fresh from the previous day's victories, cruised into the final of the 400m freestyle; Jo will be joined in the final by Caitlin McClatchey and Sophie Casson.

Lizzie Simmonds and Francesca Halsall powered their way to final placings in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly respectively while Melanie Nocher will go in the "B" final of the 200m backstroke.

Liam Tancock swam a solid 100m backstroke (55.90) to secure his spot in the final and Matt Bowe overcame illness to race to a 53.60 100m  butterfly and book a slot in tonight's final. Joe Roebuck & Ross Davenport also safely negotiated the heats to progress through to the finals of the 400m individual medley and 200m freestyle respectively.

Tonight's session also features David Davies and Daniel Fogg going te fastest heat of the 1500m freestyle.
