Loughborough backstroke specialists, Rachel Lefley and Melanie Nocher, produced fine swim in the semi final of the 100m backstroke at the World University Games being held in Belgrade.

Rachel, having made great improvements since her arrival in Loughborough to become one of Britain's finest backstrokers, raced to a 11th place finish with 1:02.82 whilst Irish Olympian, Melanie, placed 12th in 1:03.05.

The standard of swimming at the World University Games is truly World Class and to attned a multi sport games and make semi finals is good experience for these up and coming swimmers.
