After winning the 800m free on Wednesday, this afternoon at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, Sophie Casson swam a very impressive race to win the 1500m free National title.
This afternoon Sophie changed her tactics for the longer event and planned to lead from gun. She established a small lead and gradually increased the distance between her and the chasing swimmers to eventually finishing in new personal best time of 16:37.41. Her new time took over 10 seconds off her previous best.
