Loughborough swimmer Fran Halsall racing at the World Cup in Berlin this afternoon broke her 50m free British record. She finished 6th overall in a time of 23.94. Earlier in the day she broke the English record in the 100m fly in a time of 56.85

Lizzie Simmonds was in near British & European record breaking form just missing her own record by one tenth of a second, eventually finishing third in the final in a time of 2:02.12. Earlier in the day she had broken the English record in the 200m IM in a time of 2:08.91.
