| Halsall Narrowly Misses World Record |

Loughborough University's Fran Halsall narrowly missed breaking the 100m freestyle World record on the final day of the World Cup in Singapore. Fran, the World silver medallist, topped an incredible World Cup series by powering her way to victory in a new European record of 51.19; a mere 0.18 outside the global mark. She went on to take bronze in the 100m IM, setting a new British Record of 58.55. Lizzie Simmonds continued her excellent form with silver in the 100m backstroke (57.10) and 4th spot in the 400m freestyle 4:06.19. Ross Davenport stepped up his game in the final of the 200m free to convert his 5th place seeding to a worthy bronze; his time being 1:43.25 This was the final meet in the series and Loughborough swimmers have produced outstanding performances thoughout.
