New Loughborough swimmer, Michael Dawson, helped his home club Ards set a new Junior Irish record in the men's 4 x 100 medley relay in a time of 3:45.60 at the NAC Dublin on Sunday; Michael also took second place in the men's 100m breast. Loughborough Alumni, Donal O'Neill, also bettered the Senior 100m Backstroke Irish record he set at the World cup the week before. Leading off his home club's 4 x 100 medley relay, Donal swam the backstroke leg in a time of 53.39.
Well done to both Michael and Donal. Both swimmers will now be focusing their training to swimming even faster at the European SC in Istanbul in Turkey from the 10th-13th December. |
