Loughborough's Joe Roebuck raced to his second British Record on the third night of the European Short Course Championships in Istanbul.

Fresh from his British & Commonwealth 400m IM record set the previous night, Roebuck took to the pool for the final of the 200m butterfly. In a superbly paced race Roebuck held his own in a World Class field to take 4th spot and set a new British Record of 1:51.27.

Commenting on his championships Roebuck said " I was disappointed not to make the podium last night but I've raced in 3 finals, recorded lifetime bests in each event, set 2 British Records and a Commonwealth Record. I've proved I can race with some of the best in the world...a good meet all round"

The meet concludes tomorrow so there will be more exciting action from the Loughborough contingent
