British and Commonwealth Record Holder, Joe Roebuck, has injured his hand whilst in the weights room.

Having dropped a dumbell on his left hand during an intensive lifting session, Joe was taken to A&E for X Rays. Whilst nothing was broken he suffered severe lacerations to his fingers and hand. Joe likened the damage to that incurred by "dropping a weight on a Cumberland sausage".

With important Trials only 3 weeks away the medics are closely monitoring his progress.

Let's hope he is soon back in the pool.
