| Podium Success At The Sheffield Premier Meet |

Loughborough swimmers took several podium places on the first day of competition at the Sheffield Premier Meet.
Katie Raybould raced to gold in a new lifetime best of 1:13.40 in the 100m breaststroke before going onto take silver in the 200m IM (2:22.09). Teammate, Kirsty Armstrong lifted the 100m butterfly title in (1:03.46) and placed 2nd in the 50m butterfly.
Sprint specialist, Rachael Bowen, showed versatility by taking bronze in the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke events.
Chris Ashton swam a well paced race to win the 200m butterfly in a lifetime best time of (2:09.92); he also took silver in the 100m backstroke (1:00.49) behind Loughborough teammate Richard Molloy (1:00.17). Enrique Oxley made it a clean sweep by taking bronze in 1:01.33.
Adam Freundlich powered his way to gold in the 50m breaststroke (30.03), whilst Iain Scanlon made a welcome return to form to secure silver in the 200m breaststroke (2:25.78) and bronze in the 100m freestyle (53.39)
