| Lizzie Swimmonds Completes Golden Hat Trick |

Lizzie Simmonds confirmed her World Ranked No 1 status with an outstanding 200m backstroke swim on the closing day of the Setti Colli Meet in Pescara, italy. Having already won the 50m & 100m backstroke titles at the meet, Lizzie dominated the 200m event to set a new meet record of 2:08.31; some 6 seconds clear of her nearest rival. This swim was also enough to see her secure 3rd spot on the IPS Points Rankings which were used to determine the top swimmers of the competition. Francesca Halsall continue her medal winning form by placing 3rd in the 50m butterfly (26.62) while Liam Tancock finished 8th in the fnial of the men's 200m individual medley with 2:08.31. These swimmers will now embark on a few days of training before racing at the EDF Open in Paris. Great swimming on the Grand Tour! Well Done! |
