Loughborough's World Record Holder and World Champion, Liam Tancock, put in a storming swim from Lane 8 in the final of the 100m backstroke at the European Championships to take bronze.
Tancock, given a "get out of jail card" into the final after the withdrawal of Marcus Rogan, seized his chance by putting in a storming first 50m to turn in second spot (25.80) and maintained his speed as he powered over the closing stages to clinch 3rd place in 53.86 Great Job Liam...a true outside lane smoker!!!
