In swimming, Loughborough is a Chelsea or Manchester United, and like them is also striving to be amongst the World's best and to develop it's swimmers to their maximum potential. Loughborough Director of Swimming and Head Coach Ian Armiger explains the philosophies and structure of the club.

The team had 16 swimmers representing Great Britain and Ireland at the 2009 World Championships, claiming, plus a host of British, Commonwealth, European, World Student Games and World medallists.
